‘MISS YOU MR. MERCER’ is a labour of love by two of WA’s finest exponents of words and music - Ali Bodycoat and Libby Hammer - along with guitarist, Kim Anning, pianist, Glyn MacDonald, Shane Pooley on bass and Michael Perkins on Drums they will bring to the PJS audience an unforgettable evening of ‘Mercer Magic’.

Formerly a vocalist with the Benny Goodman and Paul Whiteman orchestras, Johnny Mercer collaborated with such celebrated tune makers as Jerome Kern, Harry Warren, Vernon Duke, Henry Mancini Richard Whiting, and Harold Arlen.
A renowned lyricist, Mercer won four Academy Awards for On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe (The Harvey Girls) Moon River (Breakfast at Tiffanys) In the Cool Cool of the Evening (Here Comes the Groom) The Days of Wine and Roses (The Days of Wine and Rose) and was nominated for many more e.g. My Shining Hour, That Old Black Magic, Charade.
