A Jazz Windows event in association with JAZZWA.
TRUMPETER, Adrian Kelly is one of those jazz artists that steps outside his comfort zone and explores the possibilities.
Taking cues from Charles Mingus, Graham Collier, and the modal compositions of Miles Davis, Adrian Kelly will be presenting a concert of compositions while juxtaposing our senses in relation to our land.
Inspired by the artwork of his father, Robert John Kelly (1935 - 2010), Adrian will create platforms for improvisation that explore the colours, sound and textures that our incredible Western Australian landscape has to offer.
Adrian will be joined by Victoria Newton, Peter Jeavons on bass, and guitarist Simon Jeans, in presenting these new compositions and improvisations while displaying on screen, images by Robert Kelly.
This will be a truly sensual experience.
